An interpreter who is comfortable where the work is hard
Ready for the field
PPE, inductions, underground access, cleanroom gowning, long shifts and remote sites. I have spent 127 days on mine sites since late 2023.
Prepared, not improvised
I build the working glossary from your agenda, slides and procedures before day one, and send a short terminology note afterwards.
More than words
Years as a teacher and broadcaster taught me to make sure leaders and frontline teams actually understand each other, not just hear a translation.
Confidential by default
Briefs, documents and recordings stay with me. Client names and work material are never published without written permission.
Industries
Sectors I know from the inside
Each sector has its own vocabulary, rules and risks. Knowing them in advance is what keeps a meeting, an audit or a site visit on track.
Pharmaceutical and life sciences
GMP audits and regulatory inspections, including FDA, and training for manufacturing teams.
Mining
Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) and Critical Risk Management (CRM) programmes across Latin America.
Steel and metalworking
Technical and operational interpreting for industrial teams since 2010.
Automotive
Audit and technical interpreting for multinational manufacturing operations.
International organisations
Interpreting for United Nations delegations and projects, as a registered UN service provider.
Aesthetic medicine
Interpreting for facial harmonisation, filler and botulinum toxin training courses with international faculty.
Publishing and journalism
Book translation for Brazilian and international publishers, and journalistic translation for The New York Times, El País and Deutsche Welle.
Commercial negotiations
Consecutive and simultaneous interpreting at contract and commercial negotiation tables.

About me
Teacher, broadcaster, interpreter
I started teaching English and German when I was 18, and I never really stopped being a teacher. That habit of working out how to make an idea land with a particular person turned out to be the best training I could have had for what came next.
I studied Linguistics at the University of São Paulo, spent an exchange year at the Freie Universität Berlin, and began interpreting professionally in 2010. Since then I’ve worked in booths and boardrooms, on factory floors and at mine sites, and in front of a camera or microphone. For five years I was a radio and TV host at an educational station in Minas Gerais, which taught me more about listening than any classroom did.
On the language side, I’ve translated for The New York Times, El País and Deutsche Welle, published 15 book translations with Brazilian and international publishers, and interpreted for the United Nations in Ethiopia and in Brazil. The mix is wide on purpose: in one year I might interpret a regulatory inspection, a medical course with international faculty and a conference with a German delegation.
In the last few years, mining has become the centre of my work. I’ve spent 127 days at mine sites across Brazil, Peru, Argentina and Chile. My role there is part interpreter, part facilitator: helping leaders and frontline teams actually understand each other when the topic is safety and critical risk. It’s slow, human work, and I love it.
In 2026 I founded FidelCo in Belo Horizonte to bring one standard to all of this: stay faithful to the meaning, the intention and the person speaking. That applies whether I’m interpreting, facilitating or coaching executives one-to-one.
