Field work
Interpreting where the work happens: underground mines, production floors, negotiation tables and cooperation missions.
Mining
Underground mining
Interpretation and facilitation in underground mines, including safety briefings, critical-risk conversations and field observations with frontline teams.
My mining work spans Brazil, Peru, Argentina and Chile, through the HOP and CRM programmes I support: 127 days on site at more than 12 mine sites since late 2023.

Pharma
Pharmaceutical manufacturing
On-site interpreting for GMP audits and regulatory inspections, including work in Grade B areas, and training for manufacturing teams.
I have interpreted 13 on-site pharmaceutical audits since 2015, four of them FDA inspections.

Steel and metalworking
Technical and operational interpreting in steel and metalworking plants, where noise and specialised vocabulary are part of the job.
Negotiation tables
Consecutive and simultaneous interpreting in commercial and contractual negotiations, where precision matters more than speed.
International cooperation
Interpreting for UN projects and delegations, including an engagement in Ethiopia and a delegation in Brazil. Registered UN supplier (UNGM), vendor no. 2121514.
How I prepare
Before each assignment I ask for the agenda, glossary, site rules and equipment list, and confirm safety requirements before arrival. Travel, accommodation and on-site transport are agreed in the brief, before the assignment is confirmed.
